Grant Park boat launch getting tough with low water level

Several members who have recently taken their boats off the lake are reporting some challenging conditions at the launch with the low water level. The channel leading back to the bay is narrowing and is between 3-4 feet deep. The low water has exposed some boulders at the end of the new concrete launch pad so extra care should be taken with trailers and keeping motors up. The launch is still usable but without plenty of additional rain soon consider taking your boats out sooner than later.

Information from the Spring 2018 Meeting:

  • Geese Control:  In an effort to assist the Federal Fish & Wildlife folks we are asked to collect data on the Geese population on our lake.  Please note the number of Geese, when you saw them (date & time) and the location.  Please forward this information to Holly on a weekly basis so she can record and forward to the officials.
